Automotive Part Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) inspection fixtures
The „0”-position of the specimen should be centered either by two holes which are preferably marked with
diamond-shaped pins. If the centering points are in one level (holes in one axis direction) fixed (or elastic)
locating pins should be used to which the specimen is placed .
In each version one locating pin asks both directions of the hole to fix the specimen. The other one centres with a diamond edge
(swordmale).
- For the measurements of the diamond, the lower tolerance threshold of the hole or the form hole
is to be selected.
- If it is not possible to use diamond-shaped marking pins for technical reasons, conical marking
pins are to be used.
Variable locating pins should be guided in a hardened steel sleeve with a H7/m6 fit and a ratio of diameter
less than 1 to 1,5
